ABOUT US
WACS (West Africa Cable System) is an ultra-high capacity fibre optic submarine communications cable, linking South Africa and the United Kingdom, along the west coast of Africa and Europe, connecting 15 terminal stations along the way, with a total length of approximately 16,000 km. The cable construction started in April 2009 and became operational in May 2012. It is currently formed by a consortium of 16 leading international telecom parties.
